Morning all, it’s overcast here and forecast to stay that way, but it”s not cold. I have a doc appointment at 11.15, medical for drivers licence renewal. After that I’ll call into a friend who had a knee replacement recently. She is a real technophobe but her husband finally got her to accept an iPhone - not that she is making much of an effort with it. I’m going to get her onto our schoolgirl WhatsApp group, she might get a bit more interest in using the phone. I need to get petrol, and on the way home, I’ll call into Miss Osc’s, they have gone away on holiday today and she miscalculated her food shopping last week so has told me to help myself to any food, veg etc. Before I leave here, I’ll leave a note for UPS who tried to deliver Edward’s new musical instrument yesterday even though the tracking didn’t show it as out for delivery - the nail bar is great at taking in parcels for us. I also need to bring a jacket of Edward’s to the cleaners to be pressed.

Afternoon all, its hot and Joe’s just come home from work and gone straight out for an 8 mile run :?

Had a really good sort out of the wardrobes on Saturday and then the coat cupboard on Sunday and ended up taking four filled to the brim black bags to the Sally Army clothes bins on Tesco car park. I’ve done some more sorting since and lugged another bag over to the collection bin on the CoOp car park this afternoon. I’ve been vacuum bagging things too

George had a good walk early this morning before it got too hot, because he’s not trained off lead yet if he runs then so do I

Just waiting for an Amazon delivery now, it’s due between 2.30 and 6.30 so it can’t be far off now.

Have a good evening all :D

Well, poor Edward. His electronic wind instrument arrived while I was out, he fired it up, followed all the instructions and had a great half hour finding out all it could do - then it died. When I got home, he was working through all the troubleshooting in the manual but nothing. So eventually he started an online chat on the site from which he bought it, a German site he has bought from before. They concluded that the instrument must have a defect and offered him a replacement or refund. He chose a refund and with typical German efficiency, a prepaid mailing label was sent, we packed it up and I took it to the post office. He is not too disappointed because he has been reading various forums and it seems that there are problems with the instrument. So he is happy enough and when he gets the refund, he’ll bide his time and see what he wants to do.

I did everything on my list, my technology averse friend was introduced to WhatsApp- she really is incorrigible, she had missed calls and messages on her newly installed WhatsApp. I put her into the schoolgirls group and she did type a few words to everyone. Then I set her up in a group with her grandchildren. Whether she will use it or not, who knows.  My dratted pessary fell out again so it’s off to the hospital again tomorrow to try again. Miss Osc had left quite a bit of food, veg, eggs, cheese, so we’ll use them up. Michael sent us a photo of his room in their Portuguese villa, it opens out onto the pool so he was very happy!

Bit warm this week Osc, please make sure they slap the high factor cream on, so easy to get burned, in the Algarve. The breeze makes you think you'll be fine.

Hope they have a lovely time xx
