Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 07 Jun 2025, 05:45

Good morning.

Roasty toasty hot at 37°. 8-)

Craig's going over to Jacob and Inma's for the day and night. Don will drive him over. I've not driven since March and don't think my first outing should be a Saurday morning on the motorway.
They're going into Malaga centro to meet up with Conor and Lucia. :cute:

I'll be in the pool. It's been non stop since he got here  so I'll recharge my batteries ready for next week.

I've got Race Across the World on iPlayer to catch up on and a couple of other programmes which I'll enjoy watching with a nice fresh Greek salad tonight.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Chilly breeze out there  but should be a very pleasant 33C later.

I let Grumpy have a lie in, after being out for the first time for a week and he-s now watching darts

I-ve got a little bit of strimming to do and put a couple of rather spikey cactus to put in near the fence / stops next doors dogs trying to get at us

Will pop down to the bar this afternoon. Not been there for over a week, apart from a quick coffee, so catch up with friends.

have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, it’s a sunshine and showers morning.

We’ll walk George once John’s back from Parkrun, as long as it’s not raining heavily. Tom’s over this afternoon. He’s coming to Manchester with me and John to see Morrissey tonight so we’ll leave around 4.30 but keep an eye on the motorway app in case we need to leave earlier.
I spent much of yesterday afternoon trying to sort out parking. The plan was to park in the city centre and walk the 20 or so minutes to Eastlands but parking which isn’t already sold out is either extortionate or in a dodgy area and many reviews mention returning to smashed windows and stolen car parts. Finally found a Travelodge in Gorton which sells parking spaces for matches and concerts, same walk time, and only £5 for 8 hours so I booked that.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all, we’re home! We had a really super holiday with wonderful weather, but we were no sooner in the door yesterday afternoon than the heavens opened  Today is cloudy and damp :( We unpacked as soon as we got home and I got the first wash on. The second one is on now but they will all have to dry indoors. I have ironing to do and Edward is busy doing cooking stuff so it’s back to normal life, hey ho. We were away for 11 days and there had only been one letter in that time  Hope everyone is well, I’ll try and get through the daily posts at some stage.

Morning all :D

Raining first thing, cloudy now and more rain forecast.

Up and out at silly o'clock to do the weekly M&S trolley dash. We were hoping to do a walk down to the harbour today, depends on the weather, but it's not looking too promising.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
We have been to get the papers and to do a bit of shopping.
MrsC was baby wrangling yesterday so is a bit tired.
I've done the crossword and watched the Derby.
I'm glad that you had a nice holiday Osc.
Have a nice day everyone.

Mind that cactus, Jan! ;) xx

Happy pootling, Cruiser :) xx

Enjoy the concert, Jo! Glad you got parking sorted 8-) xx

Welcome.back, Osc! What a fab holiday, your photos were lovely and I enjoyed the.vicarious travelling! ;) :D xx

Fingers crossed that you got your walk Jen XX

It's been changeable weather here. We met Em and Dave for our regular Saturday breakfast date - The Fleet Inn at Twining again. They do such a nice breakfast, although I never really vary from my favourite of poached eggs on toast

Round to see D after that, then since getting home I have stripped our bed and got the washing on. We've just had a late lunch/very early dinner of burgers and Greek salad. I need to do yet more ironing, so might as well crack on with that ;)

Love to all :) xx
