Morning all, shaping up to be another beautiful day. We are up early and will be heading to the airport in about 10 minutes for our 10.30 flight to Manchester. Such a shame that Blackpool airport doesn’t have passenger flights any more - it was a horrible little airport but was only a half hour flight, then 10 minutes in a taxi, now it’s an hour’s flight followed by a train journey of almost 1 1/2 hours, but we’ll get there. According to my FB memories we actually went there this day 10 years ago.

Good morning All , Osc and anybody else whois up.

It was only 14C when I got up. But the sun is shiningand there is a lovely blue sky again. So it should get warmer.

Have got to make some phone calls before I go out.

Going out for lunch with a couple from Leyland. We are going to the Dicinson Arms at Appley Bridge. They do Italian food and it is very good.
Have been several times. They have similar venues in other parts of England.

Will just relax when I get home.

Have a good day everybody.

Hello and good morning everyone

Osc, safe travels and have a great time!
Ally we still have such cold mornings here, day time temps are generally around 17 or so, but the nights are dropping down to low single figures still; so cold. Enjoy the day with Jacob
Cruiser, enjoy your lunch - I do like Italian food; yum. And then enjoy the relax afternoon.

It's a dull and cold start to the day here, but sun is meant to break through come midday. I will spend the afternoon at the allotment and then have a relaxed evening at home.

Have a good day everyone x

Morning everyone

Mixed bag this morning, but mild at 17C and will warm up a little but showers are expected.

Safe travels Osc, enjoy the week-end.

Hoe George had a quiet night - doubt it though  A friend is having a new pup next week, a 9 week old Lab. She's over the moon and so excited.

A bit of cleaning for me. I worked very hard yesterday and all the strimming is done, apart from the drive. My machine can't tackle the weeds down there and Grumpy's refused to start again  Sergio is coming up today, to hopefully sort it out.

Then baking this afternoon, bunny and easter eggs, for the coffee morning, I hasten to add, that they're pastry based

If I have the inclination and no sore back, I'll head out and dig up some of the more spready, thick stemmed weeds.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all *yawwwwwn* It’s another lovely sunny day although I think that’s due to change over the weekend.

George finally arrived at 4am, he’s so lovely. And so lively  We were told that he’d need to decompress after the stress of leaving behind his siblings and also the long journey so to just let him rest for a few days. Not a chance. He’s been pretty much full on since he arrived  I haven’t had a wink of sleep and I’m already minus a pair of welly socks and a tea towel, taken from the utility room while I was putting down a new puppy pad.

Saying that he’s just gone and flopped down in his bed. We set up a crate thinking it’d make a nice little hidey hole for him while he settled but he hasn’t ventured into that yet. No surprise really when he’s been crated in a van for two days and in quarantine for two days before that.

Jan, George is a 16 week old Lab cross. Think he’s going to be pretty big judging by his paws

Osc that is a shame, hope you have a good time :) xx

Cruiser that sounds very nice! :) xx

Ria, our temps are similar here, perfect weather for the allotment 8-) xx

Oh they sound delicious Jan xx

The joys of puppyhood Jo :D I remember from when we first had our Pepper  He sounds lovely, I'm so pleased for you :Hi: :Hi:

Another sunny day here in the Costa del Gloucester  We were out early for our dental and hygienist appointments, then straight round to D's to take her to Tesco with us. I was a bit apprehensive as it was the first time leaving Daisy alone for so long, but she was perfectly ok, bless her. She's such a sweet well-behaved dog :) Got a bit of ironing to do later, then Pilates tonight.

Love to all :) xx

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

Safe journey Osc.
Have fun with the puppy Jo.

We had a lovely day on Carlisle beach yesterday and finished it off with a drink at the Tiki Bar near us.

Today we're off to Pier One at Port St Charles for lunch. It's up on the west coast and is where my best friend Jan, who sadly died some years ago, had a house. We always like to do one visit when we're here and raise a glass to her. It's an absolutely lovely spot, way out of our price range to stay up there, but lunch isn't too pricey and always yummy.

Jo, the very best part of having a "raw" puppy is that you can train them your way.

We did some classes for the 'sit', 'stay', 'come' type things, but the best part was teaching them to have fun - toys etc - and how to socialise with other dogs, people, and especially children.

Little and often was our way and with as many other dogs (and cats) and people who were willing.

They were all Alsatians so very intelligent and big enough to be a deterrent, should the need arise. However, they picked up from our attitudes who were 'friends' or not and then acted accordingly.
