Plenty here, but at an eye-watering price.

Same with fennel.

Jan, shallots are onions, just a different cultivar like red onions and leeks.

TV chefs (cooks) like them because shallots sound more 'posh' than onion.

Just use small onions - a fraction of the price, same taste.

Os, fennel, get the seeds, almost free, grow your own.

For me you can keep the fennel.

We grow shallots in the garden. Onions too. But they don't last all year. Last year Mrs S was so dejected we hardly planted much in the garden and not much of that grew. Looking to a better year this year.
