It was much fresher when I walked Bill, dull and drizzly. That’s all cleared up now, the skies are clear and the sun is shining.
Plans for today are to cut the lawns and the seat/back cushions from another sofa and armchair are in the wash. I’ve done the ones from sofa and chair in the downstairs living room over the last two days so now I’ve started on the main living room. Just one sofa to go after these.
Also waiting for an Amazon delivery which should be here before 1.
Cinema tonight to see The Bikeriders, it’s been a while since we’ve been to see a film. Think the last time was the night before John had to go to Wales to be with his mother.
Where are they coming from Jan? Would drive me spare xx
Jo, it's the sort of job you have to keep going once you start, isn't it? Very foolishly I chose a "shabby chic" suite in off-white when the kids were tiny. I lost count of the times I had to wash those wretched covers xx
It's cooler here today, and a bit overcast. Shopping this morning - not sure if D wants to go as her new gardener seems to like Thursdays, so I'm about to ring her. Mick will come with me if she's busy. Pilates tonight.
Morning all, it’s bright and breezy here, just like me! We are at the airport, check in went smoothly, we are at the departure gate and the plane has just arrived which is always a good sign!
Kaz, we had a blue and cream striped sofa when Tom was a baby. The cream stripes were much wider than the blue though. Once he’d started moving about my Mom was right on the sewing machine making a replacement cover for it in navy blue
It is a job you have to keep going with, thankfully they’re all drying pretty quickly though.
The sun is out with some blue sky It was18C when i got up.
Just a day of pootling. Will still be looking for a list of appointments for later this year. I know I had it at the beginning of June. I need it as I want to make another appointment probably at the end of July.. Osc, Hope your flights goes OK More Vibes for G
Good morning. Safe travels to Osc. Cloudy and fresher here today, we may get a shower. In a while we are going to a retail park to look for some Sketchers for MrsC. Jo, years ago we had a green three piece satiny type suite. It looked beautiful when we first got it but it wore very quickly. When we came to throw it out we found 17 guitar picks down the sides of the cushions, £2 in change and a five pound note! Have a good day everyone.

We didn't actually find anything we wanted at the Garden Centre yesterday, but we did stop and have a toastie and coffee. Big mistake, they have no aircon inside and it was absolutely sweltering, couldn't get out quick enough. Felt really sorry for the staff. Luckily there was a slight breeze in our garden so we soon felt a lot better.
Westwood Cross and M&S in the next hour or so, don't need a lot so we shouldn't be there too long. Then it's back here to laze in our garden. I popped a gammon in the slow cooker yesterday so we'll make a started on that with salad for dinner this evening.
