Apparently it was a few more than 60 when nominations closed. That's not a very big bank of those with councillor experience to rely on, especially when spread over 10 councils.
These elections could make or break Reform Ltd. The other parties will be putting its performance of running councils under the microscope for the next few years.
If all goes well it could make a similar impact in the next council elections in 2027. If it goes badly it could be "wipeout" next time. The Cons, especially, will be letting us know of all the failures, daily ad infinitum and beyond... to paraphrase Buzz Lightyear.
Get the popcorn in.
