Britain's first national bird.

No, not Jordan.... proper birds.
There is a poll:

1. Mute Swan
2. Red Kite
3. Hen Harrier
4. Puffin
5. Barn Owl
6. Kingfisher
7. Wren
8. Robin
9. Blackbird
10. Blue Tit

For me it has to be my mate the Blackbird. He cleans his patch every year and now the evenings are lighter he sings his heart out.

Which would be your favourite?

Robins can be vicious and very territorial. Blackbirds are so much more relaxed, and they sing beautifully till the sun goes down.

I voted for the wren. There used to be the wren on the farthing.

That's a tough one - there are lots of beautiful birds to chose from; but the "issue" for me is that none of these are truly British only - not even sure there is such a bird?

But I think the Robin would be top of the list
