...from my wee man at the bank.

He likes to practice his English on me and we were chatting away as I was putting money in (yes!!! actually putting money in! ) and once we'd finished at the end he said to me 'you are lovely and always you are smiling. Every day I see you and you are smiling.'

He could of course mean I am the village idiot...

I think I smiled all the way home.

Or maybe his English lesson for the day was 'use the word smiling in as many sentences as possible'

I smile at people as I walk around and I have to say, there're some right miserable so-and-so's around who don't smile back

They are, sometimes a quick walk can take a good hour by the time we've stopped and chatted a few times
It's the horseriders who I find the rudest!

A lady was collecting her new specs the other day and she'd ordered them while I was on holiday so I'd not seen her....when she saw I was in, she was really pleased to see me, she said she thought I had left or retired (!!) but was glad to know that wasn't the case

In her defence she is elderly but she said she didn't think I was old enough.....hadn't worked out ages and stuff
