LOL I liked it when Compo was in it - I think it lost its way a bit after that

Yes, there were some memorable characters in the earlier series like Wesley with his inventions in the shed, Edie (Thora Hird) as his wife, Eli, the one who was very hard of sight, and the "Ladies" tea-drinking .....
