Quiet day today, having a lie in, then will cook some lunch before Mick goes to get Becks from her dad's I might do the ironing while he's out, or I might not
Di have a lovely day - you've worked so hard, you really deserve it
Morning chums nice day here with a nip in the air. We are off to a tango tea dance this afternoon, o lots of dancing and lots of cake Welcome back Jo and a fabby day to everyone xxx
Hello again Thankfully we weren't needed. The couple running the cake stall turned up just after us, so we just stayed a while helping to sort it all out. We took Minnie, to say hello to Helen (the lady who runs the whole thing) - and she met little George, one of the puppies they have at the moment. I'd have loved to say yes please Minnie wouldn't have been happy once it got busy, she's still very anxious around lots of unfamiliar people and dogs, so I was glad to leave without feeling guilty We went to the farm shop and Lidl then back for a bacon buttie
Aw Di, hard to resist but Minnie wouldn't like it would she? Glad you got away without getting roped in, you've done your bit producing all that scrummy baking xxx
Slight change of plan, Mick had a mug of tomato and courgette soup aka pasta sauce for a very early lunch before he set off, and I froze the rest - we'll have the lamb chops for dinner tonight when B gets home.
Sat in front of George Gently on the TV now - I'll get the ironing board out in a while and get some done while it's quiet
The girls had a fab time at the One Direction film and Mick and I wandered aimlessly looking at cars before going for coffee.
Home to do face packs (the girls, not Mick and I) and then pizzas, cake and dvd. One of them had to be at work this morning for 11am and her dad was picking her and one of the other girls up at 10.30am so I did warn them to go to sleep at a reasonable time. But I could still hear them giggling and chatting at 3.30am. L had taken herself off to her own room at about 11pm and had a good nights sleep.
It was a struggle to get the four of them up this morning but they were ready to go when the dad came.
L has now gone off out to the park to rollerblade with a friend and S and her friend Kaya (I wonder if she will ever go home - she has been here since Friday morning???) are still in their pj's and are slathering themselves in makeup.
I have made another batch of the tomato and marrow sauce. No marrows left in the kitchen now although no doubt there are plenty waiting to be picked on the allotment. Am having a break from reading adoption papers and will then be starting dinner - roast lamb tonight.
