Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 30 Jul 2025, 06:36

Good morning.

The weather has been lovely since I arrived in Scotland last Wednesday and today is no different. :D

I'm getting the 10.05 train into Hamilton to meet up with an old school friend. Lots of catching up to do over lunch and cocktails. :D

Have a great day.

Watering done, dip taken and now to do not a lot for the rest of the day, apart from ironing

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hello you three and everyone; good morning

Ally, enjoy the meet up with your friend
Jan, enjoy a lazy day - you don't have many of those.
Cruiser, good luck with the room emptying, but take it easy with moving the bed! And totally agree about spending before any Government gets hands on what they shouldn't.

Well another WFH day for me so nothing exciting to report. I'll do a bit of pootling in the garden at some point (been told I have to take regular breaks so making the most of it LOL) and will head to the allotment to check on things. Haven't been in 2 weeks so I suspect the weeds will have gone mad!

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, cloudy here but the sun peeps through occasionally. I’m feeling very rested today - slept from 11 last night until almost 5.30 this morning, then after I turned the radio on at 6.30, I slept for a solid two hours. I felt very tired yesterday for no particular reason, so appreciated the sleep. I don’t have any real plan for the day, I’ll go to the post office to take out some money and post a card for Miss Osc and SIL’s wedding anniversary which is at the weekend, 23 years, how can it be that long! Otherwise I’ll see where the day takes me.

Cruiser, a friend of mine always says “live rich, die poor” and we’ve being doing that for quite a while ;)

We're in that club too 8-)

We're off to the cinema this afternoon to see The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The reviews are good and it has Pedro Pascal so I'm sure we'll enjoy it. Afterwards we'll pop into M&S for some bananas and salad.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a dull one with a bit of rain in the air at times.

George had his walk, he was insistent on walking a certain way home on the common but after we’d walked quite a distance along the path he put the brakes on, barked and refused to move whilst staring at nothing in the distance. It’s the second time that’s happened at the exact same spot, yet in between both times he’s walked along there normally. He was happy to start walking in the opposite direction although he kept stopping to look back. Not a clue what he’s seeing to spook him.

Lots of housework to do today.

Tom’s currently on Broad St waiting to see Ozzy Osbourne’s cortege pass by, I’m watching on Sky.

Love to all xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It’s a beautiful sunny day here :) My back lawn is starting to green up a bit, after yesterday’s and Monday’s rain 8-) :D Met my friend J in town for a cuppa, got the few bits I needed in town then Mick picked me up and we nipped to Tesco for some salad bits. Cleared my ironing the other day, but have a line full out now that will need it later

B just messaged to say she might be home early as she feels really rough. I might get her to do a Covid test when she gets home, to see if I need to try to avoid her - I have heard it’s about at the moment - as my CT heart scan next Thursday and I do not want to have to cancel through illness, as I have waited months for this :?

Ally you always bring good weather :D xx

Enjoy your lazy day Jan :) xx

New carpet is always lovely Cruiser :) xx

Glad you’re pacing yourself Ria 8-) xx

A good sleep makes such a difference Osc :) xx

Hope you enjoy the film Jen :) xx

That’s spooky Jo, makes you wonder if they can see things that we can’t  xx

Love to all xxx

Dogs can sense things Jo.
Our daughter's cockapoo is usually as soft as a brush, but when she was pregnant with Ethan Dobby was very protective of her.

Oh goodness Kaz, whatever it is that B has I hope you manage to avoid it :(

I’ll do a thread about George and his walk actually, because what you both said was something that I’d thought of this morning.
