Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 27 Jul 2025, 05:31

Good morning.

The weather has been great since I got here. :D

Sis and I had the best day in Edinburgh yesterday. :D

I'm off for a good long stompy walk this morning.

Back to get showered and ready for another busy day.

First thing is a drive to Airbles Road cemetery to our gran's grave.

Then Cambusnethan cemetery for mum and dad and our grandparents on dad's side.

Next stop is a cup of tea with cousin Gary and his partner Mel. :D

Then cousin Simon and his partner Susan. :D

Meeting cousin Ivor back at our Airbnb for a sandwich and a cuppa. :D

Sis is going out tonight with her best friend Fiona for dinner and I'm going up the pub to meet a bunch of chums. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny and another rather hot day.

Have fun Ally!

I will be re potting the new a couple of the new plants we bought yesterday and am also hoping that Grumpy will dig two rather large holes for the new trees. A glutton for flowering trees :D

Apart from a dip and footie watching, not doing a lot.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, it’s overcast here but not cold. Edward is currently watching the ManU-v-West Ham match which was played in New York last night. No plan at all for the day, got two washloads done and dry yesterday but won’t iron them today. I may do a bit more work on updating my filing system. Darts final tonight, the two games last night were very exciting. It’s strange seeing the darts in Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, for me it is totally associated with ballroom dancing.

Hello and good morning everyone

Another quiet day then Ally?
Jan, what trees did you buy?
Osc, enjoy your day, whatever you end up doing
Cruiser, that's actually a good distance to be walking, not too far, but far enough to have good health benefits

A garden tidy day for me. Yesterday I had a chap come round to cut back the horribly overhanging cherry laurel from the neighbours footpath / garden; and what a difference it's made - so much lighter. And no more messy berries to fall onto my patio. I really don't like cutting trees, but sometimes needs must and these just needed a good chop. So today I'm going to just pootle and clean and tidy as much as I can.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Sunny 8-)

We overslept so no plans for today, I didn't even get the blancmange and jelly done for later  Dinner same as usual, roast chicken with salad, but we'll have to make do with ice cream for pud.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon :)

Glad you and Sis are having a good time, Ally :D x

Flowering trees are so pretty Jan :D xx

Enjoy your various sports viewing Osc :) xx

Nice day for pootling, Cruiser xx

Ria, sometimes it just has to be done, and great that you now have more light 8-) xx

Dinner sounds good to me Jen :D xx

It's a cooler greyish day here. Still warm enough to be outside, so we went to Corretto's for a spot of brunch. Saw Mick's friend S, who sat with us - he's having aircon installed in his house! I think as our weather is getting warmer and more humid more people will be making the same choice perhaps. We've had weeks on end here of it being too sticky to sleep properly......

Spent an hour or so round at D's, then since getting home I've made a bolognese for dinner later, and pegged out the bedding I stripped off last night, and washed this morning. Need to redo my nails later.

Love to all :) xx

One is a Callianona Surinamensis / similar to a bottle brush, but pink and white.

The label flew off the other one, and neither of us can remember the name

We now have three new flowering trees, to go with the other three, which are similar. No idea of the name, they were given to us.
