Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 21 Jul 2025, 06:24

Good morning.

There was rain through the night which is great as everything was looking very parched.
Lovely and sunny now. 8-)

I'm walking into town this morning to get a few bits from M&S and I'll walk home. A round trip of 9kms.
I'm definitely getting full use of my new hip.

Craig's cooking dinner tonight. A Sri Lankan curry. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but with a chilly breeze. Warming up a little later.

Washing to be don and I might - might - do some cleaning in the pantry. Like shelves. Grumpy will be out painting.

A pootley type of day, nothing really planned.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it rained all night, has stopped for the moment but everything is very wet and dreary. Mobility class this morning, then I suppose I should make some sort of an effort with h/worky stuff this afternoon. No golf for Edward, no idea what he has planned, although he has already washed the windows downstairs. I need to make a doc appointment to see if I can get my wrist xrayed and I’ll also make an appointment to get my nails done, maybe for this afternoon - trying to work it out so they get done before we go away, I go every three weeks so I’ve had the calendar out!

Hello and good morning all

Ally, enjoy the walk, and good the hip is working as it should ;-) Sri Lankan curry sounds delicious!
Jan, enjoy the pootle day
Cruiser, I've got so many weeds in the garden and can't do much about them right now. And with the rain we've had they're just going to get even bigger
LOL Osc, I'm the same with my nails....

Well a not very comfy night for me I'll be honest. I've been sleeping so much the past two days that I really wasn't all that tired and just couldn't get comfy. I'm a side sleeper but can't at the moment and sleeping on my back really isn't comfortable at all. I'm now having a discussion with work about whether I should be logging on or not. I feel absolutely fine to wfh with regular breaks, but they say I should be taking it easy and not logging on at all. So now I've put in a call to my GP surgery to see what they advise. The consultant did say no driving for 10 days and mumbled something about being booked off for 2 weeks but I don't have anything in writing and when I mentioned I can work from home, he said oh, OK ... so not really sure where I stand.

Who knows...

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine one minute, the next rain :?

Ria sorry you had an uncomfortable night. I'm inclined to agree with your work, better to take time off till you're feeling much better. Hope you can get a decision from your GP x

The weather brightened late afternoon yesterday so Ed managed to get out in the garden for a tidy up. Just as well, the bin goes out tonight and I don't think the sunny spells will last long enough to get much done today. The forecast is showers for most of the day.

Nothing much happening here, we're expecting a Tesco delivery later this afternoon and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

It's a sunny day here, a bit fresher after some rain yesterday. Met Em in town. A friend of ours has lost her mum (91) and the funeral is Thursday, so we've made plans to go. It's just at the local crem.

Must do a bit of ironing tonight, this last week has been so busy I've not done much and we're running out of decent stuff to wear. :P

Ria, I agree, you should be resting not working (((((x)))))

Love to all x
