Good morning Friday

A place to chat with friends, old and new

Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 18 Jul 2025, 05:05

Good morning.

It's 6am and I'm sitting having a hot chocolate.
Foxes in the back garden woke me up and on my way to the loo I met Jackie coming out of her bedroom so here we are chatting with chocolate.

This morning we're going over to see Jackie's daughter Charlotte.
She moved into her new house yesterday. :D

The three of us are going for a pub lunch then J is taking me to New Street for my 15.10 train back to Nottingham.

Craig will pick me up and we're out tonight to the Dr's Orders for a few beers. :D

Have a great day.

I flew over a week today and have packed so much in it's gone by in a flash.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny but pleasantly cool earlier. Now warming up. But a cooler few days coming :Hi:

Watering done and a few swear words heading the rabbits way  They eaten two complete plants and have munched on another one

I really must get some cleaning and ironing done this morning. Grumpy is washing the Honda, as it's filthy. Having lunch at the Palma today and I'm taking a few friends, so the car had to be cleaned.

Meeting Grumpy at the bar afterwards.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s already warm and humid.

George hs been walked, he just wanted to sniff today so we only went to the part of the common behind our street…and took half an hour to walk 0.82 miles because of the sniffing
The second load of washing has just gone in, the first load is on the line. The Tesco delivery is due later this morning.

It’s Joe and Jade’s last full day in Portugal, they fly back early tomorrow. Jade had good news the other day, she’s been accepted to do her Masters in speech and language therapy. The course is two years full time and starts in January, that works perfectly for her as her current work contract ends at Christmas. She won’t need to travel far either as she’ll be at the Edgbaston campus of Birmingham City University, just a few miles from home. I think she’ll have some placements as part of the course too.

Tom breathes a sigh of relief today as school finishes for six weeks  He’s got work to do though for next year, planning for his classes and also for his new role with the sixth form. He’s moving classroom a few doors down the corridor too. I have a feeling I might be volunteered to go into the school during the holiday to help with that, might have some four legged help too though

Have a good day all :D

Saundra, it’s not a job I’d want to do, or have the patience to do. Has Scarlett got any plans for the six weeks?

Jan, they’re in Praia Da Rocha.

Evening everyone :)

Sorry to be so late, but we've been out most of the day. SW meeting first, then round to Em's afterwards for a cuppa. Mick came up as well for a while, then we nipped to Tesco for the last of the bits we need for lunch tomorrow. Round to see D and our nephew and niece after that, then since getting home I've had a clean round. I got a lovely set of cleaning products from a company called Purdy & Figg, who advertise on Facebook - the smell is fantastic :) xx

Love to all :) xx
