Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 25 Apr 2025, 05:12

Good morning. :D

Sunny and forecast 28°. 8-)

Going for a walk this morning. Solo. ;)

I'll be by the pool reading for a few hours. Don's going to Leroy Merlin for a new tap for the pool shower. I'm still laughing at the fact he asked if I wanted to go with him. I can't think of a shop I hate more.

Friday beers and tapas tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy start, but it's going quickly. Cooler day at 25C.

Ikea is my hatred Ally. I can cope with Leroy, as they do plants

Busy day here. finish off the cleaning inside and out, do the samosas, move around outside as we have friends coming round later this afternoon.

Will finish off the chicken, with chips and gravy, when they've gone.

Grumpy has my cold, so a little more grumpy than normal

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it’s a sunny one and I’ve just looked at the forecast for next week and it looks like we’re having a mini heatwave with 25° forecast for midweek

It’s a day of waiting for deliveries. Tesco are due later this morning, there’s an Amazon delivery due and Evri are supposedly delivering a parcel for Amazon and which should’ve been delivered yesterday. Joe’s working from home and there’s a work parcel due to be picked up from here by DHL too. Oh, and Royal Mail are delivering a package too.

Had to laugh at John last night. Before George came he was adamant that he wasn’t going to be allowed onto the sofa. It wasn’t going to happen at all. After a week he was allowed on one end of the sofa. Last night I was in the armchair, John was on one end of the sofa and George had stretched from his end and onto the middle and I caught John putting a cushion under his head
George had visitors yesterday. I’d taken in a parcel in for Neil next door and he came around to get it and brought his little girl with him because she’d heard we had a puppy (he’d already met Neil while we were out on a walk) and was excited about seeing him so they came in for a bit.

Wickes is the store I hate with a passion, think it comes from when we were renovating our last house and we spent far too much time and money in there.
Jan, I love a mooch around Ikea. I skip the furniture bit and head straight for the kitchenware and go on from there  Hope you and Grumpy are soon feeling better.

Have a good day all :D

Jo, that made me laugh about the pillow under George's head - love it!!!
Ally, enjoy the walk
Jan, hope Grumpy feels better soon (more for your sake than his     )
Cruiser, hope you get what you're after in Chorley

WFH day for me today - yay!!!! Up early so I could get to Sainsbury's when the opened at 7am; I was back home by 7.30! Now logged on for work but wanted to pop on here quickly to say hello :-)

Have a good day everyone x

Morning all, the rain has stopped for the moment. Mobility class for me this morning then back to do not very much until we go dancing this evening. I need to renew Edward’s prescription, been forgetting for the last few days. I’ll also continue to try ordering a gift from M&S online for a birthday on the 5th May. I did this last year for another birthday, an easy way to send something from Ireland to the UK without involving the postal service. Everything goes great until I get to selecting a delivery date - the calendar is different every day, first it had all of May crossed off, yesterday it showed as if yesterday’s date was 20th May :? A phone call will be required to customer service by Monday methinks. The order stays in my basket but yesterday it said it was out of stock  so I had to select something similar but of course more expensive. I know they have been having cyber problems, hopefully they sort them soon.

Good morning.
Grey here but not too cold.
We are going to do the big shop in a moment. On Sunday we are going to try and do a small joint of beef in the airfryer.
Jo, that made me laugh!
Must remember to pay the water rates today to Dick Turpin Incorporated, aka Yorkshire Water.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

I hope the forecast's are right Jo, less of a shock when we get back home.

We had a lovely evening at Southern Palms last night, our favourite steel band plays there every Thursday so we thought it would be nice to see them one last time before we leave.

We'll be home by lunch time Wednesday, can't believe how quickly this 6 weeks are flying by. Today it's a general mooch, shopping and lunch out, oh and we're going to look at another apartment with next year in mind.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

That made me laugh, Ally my idea of hell too  xx

I feel for Grumpy Jan, the cold I've had this week has been awful xx

I'm glad there was a good turnout, Cruiser xx

Jo, that's hilarious  When we first got Pepper, I was the strict one - well that didn't last, did it?.  xx

Yay for the WFH day Ria :D :D xx

Osc, I wonder if your issues with the M&S order do have anything to do with that huge cyber attack - it did say on the lunchtime news that problems were ongoing :? I hope you get it sorted xx

I have done a chicken in our airfryer Crommers, but never a joint. Interested to hear how it goes.... 8-) xx

Gosh, that has gone quickly Jen! Enjoy the last few days xx

It started out as another lovely day here, but has clouded over. Went to SW, and achieved a weight loss - thanks, no doubt, to living on soup for three days due to feeling poorly :P

Got home about an hour ago, after seeing D, have stripped the bed and remade it. Going out tonight with our Pilates gang, but only for a bite, I won't be drinking, and am planning to come home early. To be honest, neither Em not I really fancy it, but as we already changed the date from last week we kind of feel obliged :cute:

Love to all xxx
