Good morning Ally and everyone

Enjoy the walk Ally and that relax time on the sun lounger - nice. And perfect temperature for it (well I think so - probably a bit on the cool side for you still LOL)

I had a sudden wake up this morning realising I'd forgotten to order Easter flowers for my mom; so up at 6am and by 6.20 the flowers were ordered for delivery today - thank goodness for modern technology (phew!)

A busy morning for me; meeting up with a friend for breakfast at a local garden centre, then dropping off something at another friends, then heading to Karl and Nadine's to drop off something there and pick up warmer jumpers / jackets for them. They're in Mauritius at the moment and it was lovely and warm when they left so I very much doubt they thought about packing a warm jacket. They're landing tomorrow morning at 8am at Gatwick, it will be nippy for them (esp when you're tired after a long long-haul flight). Then I've booked a slot for Thomas (my nephew) and I to go bowling at 12.30 and after that I'll come home and have time for myself :-)

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

We've already had rain  but the sun is out and we're in for a slightly nippy day at 17C.

Molly wanted breakfast at 6.00, then wanted to go out. I debated about getting up, but went back to bed, then couldn't sleep, so just been pootling. She's just come back in and had to be dried off   More rain

We had planned on going down to the bar for the first time this week, but I'm not sure if I have hayfever or a cold so we'll see.

I made a rather hot curry for tonight, so that will be kill or cure

Safe travels to Nadine and Karl, they look to have had a lovely time x

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s grey but the overnight rain has stopped.

Not much planned for today. I’m going to make a cheesecake and also roast a chicken to have with salad for when we get back from the match tomorrow evening. Love cold chicken more than hot.

Joe and Jade are off to Ironbridge today and Tom’s heading into London to meet his university friend Jake. He went to Sandhurst after uni for officer training and is in the Household Cavalry, it’s a family tradition apparently. He’s a lovely lad and only looks about 12, it’s hard to believe that he’s army material when you look at him.

Ria, safe travels to Karl and Nadine but coming home will be a shock to the system for them. Joe still laughs about me crying when we landed at Manchester from Florida early one morning. We got back to the car and it was iced over and a combination of tiredness, feeling cold and the fact that we’d left beautiful weather behind to arrive home at the start of Winter was just all too much

Have a good day all :D

Morning all, after more than 24 hours of rain, we had the deep joy of waking up to a leak from the bathroom ceiling  Edward has just gone out on the terrace to see if he can find where it might be coming from. The heavy rain has stopped but it is still mizzly. Today, I need to clean the bathrooms (was meant to do it yesterday but didn’t  ) and I’ll make a trifle for tomorrow, my sister is coming for dinner. I need to pop out and get some cream, Tesco said it wasn’t available in yesterday’s order :?

Nice letter yesterday - we had decided to cancel our whole of life insurance late last year - skyrocketing premium, plummeting benefit. We were told there would be a very small amount due to us but the whole process was taking a long time for no good reason that I could see. For example, we wrote to them on 9th December as advised and even though it would have been delivered the next day, it didn’t land on someone’s desk until the 13th. The first response we got was on 14th January, when we were told we needed to fill out an encashment form (not told that in the first place). Form emailed to us, filled out and sent back the same day and then…..nothing. I emailed a month later and was told it would be escalated - again, nothing. Finally towards the end of March I lodged an official complaint through their website - we are talking about maybe €220 here - and finally things began to happen. Yesterday we got a letter apologising (although minimising) faults in their handling of it and offering us €350. That’ll do nicely!

Good morning.
Good news on the €€€ Osc, not so good about the ceiling.
Cloudy but fairly bright here.
We have had Ellie, Eliza and baby Ethan here this morning. Ethan is now four months old and can roll over.
Also in attendance was the noble dog Dobby. He has taken it upon himself to keep the back lawn free of pigeons. He does not approve of pigeons.
Have a nice day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :)

It's been a changeable day here, sunshine and showers. Went to Cirencester for breakfast with Em and Dave, they were picking up some handmade Easter eggs for their daughters from a shop there. We were five minutes late for breakfast, as they'd just stopped serving, so had coffee and cake instead. :P

Went to D's afterwards, and had a nice surprise as our nephews Sam and Matt were there :) .Home to do a bit of housework, Chris is coming tomorrow for Easter :)

Love to all :) xx
