Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 15 Apr 2025, 04:48

Good morning.

Gorgeous and forecast 24°.

The football fans  got home just after midnight.

Conor had left his motorbike here with the intention of just going straight home but decided to stop over as he felt tired so he'll head off this morning. :)

Looking forward to spending the day with Don. :D

I resisted watching last night's episode of the excellent Reunion so we'll watch that along with the final one tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Morning! It’s a wet and grey one.

I’ll be spending my day playing with squeaky toys, rope pulls and saying “No George” He’s very good though and has settled in beautifully, he’s so cuddly too, first thing he wants in a morning when he wakes up is a cuddle

I’ve got Royal Mail coming to collect an Amazon return today and Amazon delivering a parcel too. They seem to be coming later and later now. I could do with going to Home Bargains too but that’ll have to be tonight.

Glad the Blues lads are home safe and sound Al x

Hope Ria’s first day went well x

Saundra and her family are very much in my thoughts x

Have a good day all :D

Morning Ally, Jo and everyone

Wet  Very wet and even more to come. This is the wettest April I've known in 20 years. But at least we won't have a drought this summer

A day for inside stuff and reading.

Glad George is settling in Jo. My friends dog arrives today :D

Yes, thoughts are with Saundra and family and also hope Ria enjoyed her first day - and today too.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everybody,

Only 14C when I got up. It has ben raining and there are still some grey clouds. It is bin day, They come a day earlier as there is no collection on Good Friday.

Going to Lidl this morning and then the plumber is coming this afternoon to fit a new towel rail in the bathroom. Will have to move some stuff from in the
cupboard under the sink in the kitchen so he can get at the water stop valve. He will have to drain the system to fit the new radiator.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s bright and breezy here just outside Newry. The hotel is fine, big room, at breakfast I asked for the mini breakfast and got two eggs, two sausages and two rashers  We discovered last night that a dancing friend of ours died last week. He had been ill for some time. He lived in Newry so we are hoping to visit his wife either this afternoon or tomorrow. The funeral was on Saturday, if we had known we would have been there.

The dancing last night was good but we left a bit early as I was really tired after our late night with the golf on Sunday. We did have a rest yesterday afternoon but although Edward slept, I didn’t. We have a workshop at 11.30 and another in the afternoon, but if we already know the dances we’ll mostly observe or maybe go for a walk, we’ll see.

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

Thinking abut Saundra and family.

We had a nice day on the beach yesterday. I did intend to make an omelette when we got back, but we ended up round the corner at Just Grillin.

Another day at the beach beckons 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Good afternoon.
Had a lie in this morning, MrsC took one of our neighbours to the doctor's and got a paper.
We have been clearing Jim's bungalow this afternoon, you wouldn't believe a one bedroom place could hold so much stuff. We still haven't finished but have made a dint in it anyhow.
Grey here today but no cold wind.
Enjoy George, Jo! Thinking of Saundra.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

Afternoon everyone :) xx

Ally I haven't seen that yet, must catch up sometime xx

Jo, the joys of puppies eh? .xx

Every (rain) cloud has a silver lining Jan  xx

We love our heated towel rails Cruiser xx

Sorry to hear about your friend, Osc :( xx

Jen, that sounds perfect :) xx

Crommers, I can believe it. My parents had a garden flat, only one bedroom, but omg the stuff they had! xx

Thinking of Saundra (((x)))

It's cooler here today, but we seem to have swerved the forecast rain so far. Out early for breat, then walked Daisy round the docks. Round to D's for lunch, via Tesco's, then home. Done a bit of littering in the garden - mostly tidying up and pulling up the dead daffs, ready for summer planting. A bit of weeding too. I have a small like of ironing - might clear that in a minute.

Just sorted out an insurance issue. My life policy was taken out when we took on a mortgage 18 years ago, and is about to expire, so I needed a new one. Twice the premium for half the cover - the joys of ageing eh?. :cute:

Love to all :) xx

Crommers and Kaz, I well remember us clearing out my Nan’s one bedroom bungalow and being a council one we only had two weeks before we had to hand the keys back.
27 years after she died my Aunty Dor (87) has fallen out with my Dad (almost 92) over something she says my Mom had from the bungalow which she now wants - a mincer, the old kind that you clamp to the edge of the kitchen counter or wherever - and my Dad is adamant that she didn’t have it. As a consequence they haven’t spoken for 6 months!
