Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 11 Apr 2025, 06:38

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 24°. 8-)

Going to Malaga Nostrum today for a spot of retail therapy. There's a couple of things I need and I should manage a little mooch. :P

Conor's having dinner with Lucia tonight (which is normally around 9.30) so by the time he jumps on his motorbike to come over here Don and myself will be asleep.

He's staying over as Don and Conor have an early morning flight to Birmingham as they've got tickets to see Blues at Wembley on Sunday. :cute: :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, Cruiser everyone

Woken up by thunder and rain hammering on the roof  We'll have a mixed bag today, 24C, thunderstorms, rain and sun

Coffee morning this morning, the easter eggs came out okay, not sure about the bunnies, but they'll get eaten  I ran out of eggs, didn't really want to go to Ourique, but one of our German neighbours keeps chickens, so I bought some of them :D

Hopefully, it will be a busy morning, I'll make sure photos are taken of me 'at and me

Going out to lunch afterwards, with friends, coming up from the Algarve. This will be their last visit until the autumn, as they run the "Alerta" team, which keeps us up to date with the fires during the summer and they also keep the bombeiros in supply, water etc.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s another sunny one but it looks like this spell of lovely weather is coming to an end this weekend. Such a shame as it’s been lovely for a couple of weeks now. We were saying the other day that it’s been like the first lockdown with the never ending sunshine.

Had a good night’s sleep last night after none the night before  I slept on the sofa in the downstairs living room, George was in his bed with a load of puppy pads on the floor just in case and apart from when he woke once for a mooch around that was it until he heard John get up at 6am. Today’s plan is to try to coax him out into the garden. We got him onto the lawn yesterday afternoon but when we tried again in the evening the neighbour was making some noise, sounded like he was trying to dig into really hard soil, and it put him off.

Not sure what other plans I have. The Tesco delivery is due later this morning, if Joe’s home tonight I’ll go to Aldi.

Looking forward to seeing you in your hat Jan!

Have a good day all :D

hello all - just gone past noon, so too late to say good morning

Busy morning for me - shopping, then appointment to have nails and eyebrows done (got to look decent for Monday you know ;-) ) Now contemplating a drive to the rubbish dump as I've got a few small electrical things that need to go, but may just save the drive and put them in a separate bag for the usual kerb side collection.
Got to drop some stuff off at the allotment and then just pootle more in the garden.

The weekend is going to be full on allotment stuff so want to get a few more things sorted at home.

Looking forward to that photo of you and the 'at Jan!

Have a lovely day all x

Good afternoon everyone.

I finally got the car back this morning... The clunking I was hearing was not the exhaust, though that still needed sorting, it was a broken suspension spring on the front offside. The garage suggested that I get both done as the other was looking a bit under the weather - it broke as they were changing it!. All that has left a big hole in my finances.

I took it for a test drive and did some shopping - more expense - but everything seems OK.

I hope that you are all feeling well and thinking of Grumps and Saundra.

Enjoy the day. xx.
