On Friday afternoon after 3.00 p.m, I booked a coach trip by phoning the company. I was told confirmation of the booking would be sent
by p[ost.

Much to my surprise, I received it soon after 10.00 a,m on Saturday morning. I was expecting having to wait at least a week.

Shows some firms can give good service.

I ask the sender of important things to be sent by RM tracker.

I get emails with a time slot from Royal Mail and Dave, the postie, always delivers within the slot. He also has a 'safe place' to leave bulky things if I am not in.

It works for me.

I must say that we’ve got good posties who deliver to us. It’s plural as there are three or four different ones but they’re all very good (polite and friendly too which hasn’t been the experience in the past) and know where to leave anything if I’m not in.

At our old house we had the same postie throughout our 16 years there, Ralph. If he delivered something that needed proof or wouldn’t go through the letterbox and I happened to be out he’d come back with it again at the end of his round to see if I was back home by then.
