Nicknames

There was a case recently in the papers where there had been a big argument as to whether workplace nicknames were a good thing.
From my last place of work, here are a few nicknames; some of which would definitely be beyond the pale these days.

The three amigos.
Miss Ski Pants.
Mad dog.
The child molester.
Mad Jock.
Tattoo (the little bloke in The Love Boat).
and my personal favourite,

Creeping Jesus.

Did anybody have similar?

Mick and his rugby pals had some  Mostly unrepeatable

Mick’s was Gripper or Grip, as he played prop forward
His Conservative councillor mate - he was Sheriff of Gloucester at one point  - was Turko, but nobody could remember why as his real name was nothing like it :?:

My brother's nickname at school was Abdul, Kaz. Because he allegedly looked Turkish!

Most of us in the forces had a nickname of some sorts, usually a play on a surname, but not always.

Happy - black lad always laughing
Lenda (Lenny) - surname Hand
The Bish - surname Bishop
Foggy - surnamne Fogarty
Josey (The Outlaw) - surname Wales
Drac (for Dracula) - he really did have big canine teeth!
Gwyny the Pug (Gwyny) - Real name Gwynfor, he was Welsh and said to be quite ugly. He wasn't

I was 'Lefty', for obvious reason.

Interestingly, I don't think I've never worked in a firm where nicknames were used.
Mind you, what they called me behind my back I've no idea.

At school, I was Yogi Bear and the ginger-headed lad sitting next to me was Boo-Boo. Could have been worse ....
