I'm back!

Postby Workingman » 21 Jun 2023, 12:09

I took myself off last Thursday for a spot of camping and star gazing. I was out in the wilds in N. Yorkshire - Gt Hayward - trouble was that it was an EE blind-spot.

First few days were hot and sunny with very clear night skies. so that was good. Unfortunately on Monday, my proposed last night, we got thunderstorms and incessant rain. I didn't fancy packing up in the rain so stayed over on Tuesday night as this morning's forecast was to be dry.

I got up early to wipe everything down as best I could before packing and got back at 11:30 ish. Just having a cuppa and then will get on with the unpacking. It was good to get away from the madding crowd, but it so good to be back as I will be back in a warm and comfortable bed tonight for a good night's kip.

The washing machine can wait.

You wouldn't want my Starlink backpack then... Mind you the power for it would be 3x the weight...
