What is it like your way?

Only two days to go and it has been very quiet. We had a few going of on Sunday for Diwali, but apart from them there have been very few.

People must be tightening their belts this year as they have become so pricey.

Heard some going off a few minutes ago, but apart from a few on Monday night I've heard nothing else all week.
Really hope it's quieter this year, for the sake of the animals who don't like them

We had some really loud ones last night. First the one end of the road, then the next. The cats were terrified. A neighbour texted to say her two elderly dogs were terrified as well. I'm dreading Saturday night

Smudge doesn't seem to bother too much, but Tip is terrified! We've bought and Adaptil plug in to see if it will calm him, just trying it now as there are a few bangs going off as I type.

I also have some Rescue Remedy if that doesn't work - saying that we might not be here on Saturday night, at least and nor will Tip so hopefully won't affect him too much :(

We have had them every night. Must be a lot of people with money to waste around here :(

Absolutely nothing so far in rural Dorset. There's a big display tomorrow night at the Rugby Club; we might go walk along the river path and see if we can see it "over the fields" .....

Halloween was quite civilised as well. Word was, if you welcomed visitors, put a pumpkin outside your door. If not, you wouldn't be visited.
We did buy some choccy treats "just in case" but had no callers, and Mrs O had scoffed the lot by 10:00 .....

Pretty bad here :( Pepper doesn't turn a hair, but Fraggle gets very agitated and barks a lot at them :( We've got him dosed up with Rescue Remedy and it does help a little....

We didn't decorate the house this year and had one group of trick or treaters. I'd bought a couple of bags of fun size chocolate and we gave out just five bars.
We'd scoffed the rest by around 10 too :P

Haven't noticed any so far. There is a big organised bonfire and firework display on Saturday on the local park and I think most people are aiming for that rather than their own smaller displays.

We have a couple of large displays around here. One is a bit out of hearing range so Billy may be okay but the other is quite near as the crow flies.
Thinking about it, two weeks tonight is the Christmas lights switch on and there's usually a large display as they're switched on too.
