Maybe they're not allowed to catch them so small any more?
Certainly the case with a lot of fish, they have to have holes in the nets big enough for the smaller, younger fish to get out.

Yes, Di, that's something I hadn't thought about. It makes sense.

I think so, I buy the little oblong tins of mackerel and thinking aboutit, they're bigger than they used to be too.
Which I guess is a good thing, when you see fresh mackerel they're quite a decent size.

To our local garage. Why is it that you want my car first thing in the morning, but I never get it back until you close?
Couldn't you do my car first for a change? Please?

Ah well you see, that's because they don't know how long each job is going to take so they could just cram it in whenever someone is free.

Doesn't matter if they inconvenience you at £!00 per hour, so long as it works for them...

Three days Ton?

It might work for them Suff but it ain't working for me.. they still have the car! I rang up and the lad who answered spoke to the mechanic, came back and said "He needs a bit more time on it.."

They close at 12 noon tomorrow Os; hopefully the bell will have rung or the penny dropped with them by then!

I remember, many years ago, when killer stiletto heels first became fashionable,
that there were many complaints that they were causing damage to some floors
and floor coverings, and women wearing them were banned from certain places.
Why is it; then, that there are no similar complains being made now, when they
are even more lethal?
