iv done it all
will wrap everything later in the week
i only have the immediate family
plus eldest birthday 21st dec
at one time it was parents sils cousins allthere birthdays were week
but as time goes by there is only D left to buy for
iv only got chocs to buy wich is pointless buying now because inne mad moment they will be opened
cards are left over from last year
dont have to bother with xmas dinner there is only me
and i shall do a buffet boxing day
when i think how mad xmas used to be but so much fun

I have barely raised my head above the sand - have bought a couple of bits and today took the big step of buying some Christmas cards in Lidl (mainly because they were for an Irish charity that I would like to support). That's it and that's mostly how it will stay for another few weeks

absolutely nowhere I could cry!

Thank's to the lovely tax man/payroll using wrong tax code (emergency one) for 2 months, I have had no money to buy anything apart from the food shopping, nearly £400 they have taken off me and that would have been most of my xmas presents bought.

So, I have to wait until pay day and praying I get a decent wage, so I can go and buy Amy's presents, once I have everything for her, I will then get bits for other people - but the belt has been tightened this year!

Oh, I do have 2 things actually, tickets to take Amy to Top Gear Live in January, and tickets for The Wanted in March - but Amy knows about these, but she also knows they are being put towards her Christmas presents!

I do have my list of presents to get her so just a matter of getting the dosh and going to buy it all!

Have ordered my xmas cards - Amy drew the picture and the PTA organise it so the school make some profit - just to wait on them arriving!

I've got the majority of the family and friends presents - just the awkward ones to get now - and a few of the things that Tom and Joe have asked for, I just need to get them a few surprises.
I've got cards but need to write them.

I never do until after Jen's birthday (which is this coming Friday) but as I was asked to contribute to a shoebox appeal at work, I have had to fill one of those, so I have SORT of started I suppose

Poll, please don't worry sweetheart.
Firstly, you should definitely get a lovely big payslip at the end of the month, which is in plenty of time to buy anything you need to for Christmas.

But secondly, and most importantly, Amy is still far too young for the price of presents to be much of an issue. I know you want to buy her nice things, but please, whatever happens, set a (very) realistic budget, for her and everyone else, or you'll still be worrying about it for months to come.
It's honestly never about how much you spend, but rather the time you have together, the fun you have decorating the house, the games you play, all the things that don't cost much.

Look up all the things happening locally that are either free or very cheap and plan on them for during the Christmas holidays. Maybe an open air ice skating rink, Christmas markets; the 99p shop has loads of crafty-type kits that I'd enjoy doing with girls Amy's age, make gingerbread men, or Christmas cookies to hang on the tree
