Afternoon all. Not too bad a day here although I've been feeling cold so have socks and a sweatshirt on. Went to the doc this morning (update over on Health board) and am now at home taking it easy. Had to do a quick tidy around as we have an estate agent coming this evening to give us a valuation as part of trying to sort out the financial side of our renovation. We hope a bank might lend us some money against the sale of the house seeing as we have two mortgage free buildings, but in the current credit climate here, the chances of that are probably slim. We will just have to take it one step at a time. I have to drop the car down to a local car mechanic this evening so he will service it early tomorrow - not used him before, but the Renault dealer where we always went has closed down, and I thought it might be a good idea to stay local. Miss Osc and some of her friends have used him, he seems to be ok.
Glad Bb had a good night, Di - not much fun trying to organise the next few days, I was wondering about him going to the loo and eating, never mind having a shower Hope you are good at bed baths Debih - as if you haven't enough to do without worrying about your sister. Kaz, have a hug, at least she isn't too far away ((((((Kaz)))))) Enjoy the rest of the day everyone
It's quite dull and cool here today, but we've been spared rain so far - I think that's due tomorrow actually. I went to the gym and then did some shopping, then came home and had a chat to a new neighbour before walking Billy. Since lunch I've cleaned windows, vacuumed and cleaned bathrooms. I need to start putting dinner together shortly, it'll be eaten in several sittings today as I need to be out around 5pm for this school meeting so the boys will eat before that and then I'm meeting John at the school so we'll eat when we get back, whenever that may be!
Thinking of Shell today, and Di and Buster and also Debbie and her family (hope I've not missed anyone needing good thoughts but you have them if you need them).
Ally, that's sad about Mart My friend in Orkney's husband was diagnosed with MS a year or so back. He's okay at the moment, he can carry on as normal mostly, but she's worrying that he may have developed a new symptom over the last few weeks so they're keeping an eye on that to see if it goes or if it is indeed something related to MS
Di you had plenty else to worry about, so thanks for the hugs Back atcha (((((((Di and Bb))))))
Thanks everyone for the good wishes - it went really well in the end. B was very positive all the way there, her new friend and flatmate Lauren met us and helped us carry stuff in and that warm welcome made a big difference to Becks, as she visible relaxed We got her laptop all set up for her, I made up her bed, unpacked her kitchen stuff and basic foodstuffs, and then left her to unpack her clothes.........she was discussing tonight's party with Lauren when we left
She forgot her bed scatter cushions, but not Ted thank goodness
I managed NOT to cry!!!
Thank you for all the support everyone, I've been a bit of a wet nelly this last week, so I really appreciate it
