Morning all :D

Happy 50th anniversary to your mum and dad Ally.

((((Saundra)))) xx

The drive home was much easier than going up so we made good time. Feeling emotional and depressed today, the weekend was very difficult, the thought this might go on for some weeks yet is so upsetting. I feel I should be there all the time, but quite apart from the cost of hotel stays, mother isn't really aware we're there. It's a big comfort and relief to know the CH are taking such good care of her.

Hope you all have a good day xx

((((((((((((((((((Jen)))))))))))))))))

Happy anniversary to your mum and dad Ally - have a smashing time with them tonight! And the same for you Saundra, have a hug (((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))

Hello everyone!! :D :D :D Didja miss me??? Didja????

We have had a lovely lovely time in the caravan - I had half a day holiday on Saturday so we went up on Thursday and stayed till Sunday, didn't we get good weather??? I have been treated like a princess, haven't lifted a finger all the time we were there, not even to make a cuppa :) Me likey!! 8-) :D :D

Long walk (and I mean, LOOOOONG) walk to Low Newton by the Sea from Craster on Friday, cold but sunny, then popped into Alnwick on Saturday where T got a great set of golf clubs in the Sally Army charity shop for £25!! We bought a new storage bin which took a little bit of putting together on the afternoon (ahem!) and then a gentle stroll into Alnmouth on the beach yesterday before returning home, boooo!! John's been busy painting our bedroom and wallpapering the back wall while we've been away, so cleaned up after him Sunday night. Jen is now back home (well, Kyle's) after her trip to Amsterdam - she went on Thursday. Not got any Mothers Day stuff from her (yet) bar a nice card which she'd left....I think she's paying for lunch next Sunday!

Hope everyone is well - enjoy zumba Kaz, you really are doing well with this exercise thing! I'm ashamed. xx

Glad to hear that you had a fabulous weekend Gal!! :Hi:

((((Jen)))) I felt the same when my dad was dying, but as he was on the other side of the country and I was still working it was unfeasible :( Your mum is being so well cared for, and knows how much you love her xxxxx

Evening all, it has been mostly a dreary drizzly day, although the sun has just peeped out to say hello - more rain on the way though. Mr Osc has just gone to collect Michael (wonderful that they are just a short walk away) and they will go and get the train to tonight's football match. I'm very nostalgic, remembering when Miss Osc and Mr Osc used to go to the Ireland home matches in the late '80s/early 90s, and now her son is going off with Grandad 25 years later. I really hope they have a great time, although I suspect Michael will get tired before the end - if he does, it is easy enough to leave and get the train home.

Had Pilates this morning, and got the car washed on the way home as it was covered in seagull poo. Then I wrapped and posted a birthday gift for my grandnephew in Cork. Did a few h/worky things.

Jen, I really feel for you xxx. Aggers, so sad about your friends, I hope there will be some improvement soon. Di, lots of vibes for your cousin.

Our visit today to our injured friends and neighbours left us feeling very sad.

The husband is still in Intensive Care and cannot speak, but apparently he can hear being spoken too
and responds by blinking his eyes. His injuries are most severe, and we were not allowed to see him,
as only his wife is allowed to. She was able to converse with us normally, but is greatly restricted by
something to hold together a fractured spine, plus other injuries, including a fractured ankle. We are
glad we went to demonstrate how much we cared. It transpires that the accident was in no way their
fault. Three vehicles were involved, and the person who trigged this horrendous accident has admitted
responsibility. We are most saddened, and dread to think of the possible results with regard to our friends.
There are no strangers here; Only friends you haven't yet met.
