Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 28°. 8-)
Summer is charging in full steam ahead.

Yesterday's chess lesson went a lot further than any other time as I was actually paying attention for a change.
The board has been left up to continue with it this morning before Conor leaves to go home.

Reading and chilling this afternoon.

TV tonight.

Have a great day.

Jo....Hope George arrives safely and soon settles in with you all. xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Bit cloudy at the moment, but the forecast is for sun and 26C.

Of to Ourique soo, as I have a blood test this morning. Will stop at the kiosk for water and coffee afterwards and put money on Grumpy's phone.

Then the supermarkets, chemist and I'm going to buy a new phone  Only a cheapo, as the battery is rubbish on my old one - well, it's 10 years old :lol

Back for breakfast and then I'll be strimming. Grumpy can finish off the drive.

Might pop down to the bar later, might stay off the booze for a little longer.

Happy George Day Jo :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning everyone

Ally, not sure I'm detecting quite the usual amount of enthusiasm for chess, that you normally muster for all sorts of other things / shenanigans to get up to
Jan, hope you get everything sorted in Ourique and enjoy time in the garden - perfect temperatures before the summer heat hits
Cruiser, good luck with the chemist appointment and you too enjoy the garden. My garden bins are both full to the brim; being emptied tomorrow morning thankfully

It's a really nippy start to the day, I needed to get to Sainsbury's first thing this morning and had to scrape ice off the windscreen - brrrrr. The sun is trying to break through, but we've got that horrible cold wind back. I've got a few things to do at home this morning and then will be heading into town to go to the job centre to update them and then have a mooch and see if I can find a nice new work top or two. Meeting up with Nadine whilst there

Quiet evening in front of the TV I think

Have a good day everyone

Good morning all.

Another glorious one and warming up nicely.

Jo, I hope Georgie boy is with you today and I must say that is a great idea that you can send back some bags of food and some treats for the pups still waiting to be rescued.

I need to have the exhaust looked at again as it is still clunking and I also need some vitamins from the health food place. After that it is just a lazy and probably a housework day.

Have a good one. xx

Good morning.
Sunny but chilly. It was completely grey an hour since but all the cloud has gone.
Ria, the wind direction is supposed to change tomorrow; a warm wind and 20c.
mrsC is going to our daughter's in ten minutes, I have no clue what I'm going to do but i could go and get a mini statement from the bank atm.
We have been trying to get a brickie for a small job in the back garden but they all seem to be booked up for months.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it’s gorgeous again although there is still a nip in the air, but everywhere looks lovely in the sunshine, blossoms blossoming, fresh green leaves coming out, Spring really is a heartwarming time of year. I have a list to be got through today in preparation for an early start tomorrow, our flight is at 10.30am so we need to be at the airport by 8.30 which means going through rush hour and school traffic. I’ve booked the car into the short term car park, it works out the same as a taxi each way. I’ve to get some money, buy some sterling, do some ironing, check in for our flight, pack. Then I’ll finish off the day by getting my nails done, having discussed colours with my style advisor Kellie yesterday.

Afternoon all, yet another sunny day.

Two loads of washing are on the line and I’ve hoovered through the house. Just waiting now.

Thanks for the good wishes for George, he’s in the UK now and they’ve just been checked by DEFRA. The drivers said that they go quiet for a while so that checks can be done, routes finalised and ETAs worked on, so just waiting for an ETA now.
Frank, as well as dog food I’ve also made up a goody bag of sweets and biscuits, bottles of water too, for the drivers. It’s one hell of a journey, they’ve got to go as far as Scotland and then of course drive back to Romania.
His crate is set up, we won’t be closing the door on it so that he’s free to walk around but he needs somewhere quiet where he can decompress and I’ve put a lovely bed in it for him and there are toys

It’ll be a shock having a puppy in the house again, we’re so used to how calm Bill was. We won’t know what’s hit us

Ria, it’s a close call between me and Joe, he’s actually booked tomorrow off work to be here and he works from home on Fridays. He’s already planning walks with his friend Ryan and his puppy.

Cruiser, hope the appointment goes to plan. I had my Covid booster on Sunday, thankfully the last Autumn one and this one haven’t affected me apart from a sore arm. The previous ones had really knocked me about for a day or so.

Have a good day all :D

Hot 8-)

Exciting times for you Jo.
Thinking of (((Saundra)))

We had a nice lazy day at the beach yesterday and in the evening we made a return visit to Shakers. Their food is excellent and very reasonable for here.

Today we'll be on Carlisle Bay 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx
