A lucky escape!

Postby debih » 17 Nov 2013, 12:55

I have bought the girls a tablet each for Christmas. I ordered them about a month ago and they arrived within a few days.

As soon as they arrived I opened them both up, plugged them in and charged them up. Both were fine. I downloaded a few apps (Facebook, Audible, You Tube, Angry Birds) - the same apps on both tablets.

Then I put them away until nearer xmas when I was intending on getting them out, charging them up a couple of days before the big day and then wrapping them.

But our library are doing a new free audio book service and yesterday I downloaded the app to my iphone and the girls ipod touches. For some reason it wouldn't work on L's ipod touch so when I went to bed I decided to see if it would download and work on the new tablet. I plugged it in, charged it up and downloaded the app no problem.

So I thought I may as well do the same with S's as they both like audio books. I plugged it in, up flashed the battery charging light and then the tablet made a couple of clicking noises and died! I tried the other charger but nothing. I left it plugged in overnight but still nothing.

I rang the place I bought it from this morning and they are sending me out a new one, to arrive within the week, and a label to send the broken one back.

Thank god I didn't leave it until Christmas Eve!!!!!
