Good morning.

Reporting from our very nice airbnb. :D

Getting picked up this morning by Gerry taxi driver to go over to Hamilton to collect our hire car. :D

Then onto Rosebank garden centre to meet our childhood friends sisters Anne and Lynn. :cute:

Tesco after that for some foodie bits. :D

Out tonight to the pub for Friday beers and tapas Scottish style.
AKA cider and takeaway pizza.

Have a great day.

Sorry to hear about Uncle Jim, Crommers. xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunny and quite warm already. Hotting up to 38C later.

Small pot watering done and I-ll do the vacuuming and mopping once I-ve had my coffee.

Looks like I-m taking Steve into Ourique this morning. He rang last night, having a rant about cars breaking down when they are supposed to be repaired, the state of the roads and the damage that has been done. Out of their two vehicles, one is with Mario and the other is somewhere near Beja

Grumpy will need a haircut after his shower and then we-re meeting friends down at the bar for a few rather early beers :D

We will stagger back and I-ll probably head to bed early, not having had a good nights sleep.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Morning all, it’s grey out there but hopefully it might brighten up later. Edward has already gone to play golf. I have mobility class at 11am. Then this afternoon we are both being interviewed separately by the son of friends - he is doing a Masters in something or other and needs to do a survey, I think of older people, kind of about mental health and cognitive abilities - should be fun! No dancing this evening, no doubt darts will be watched, one of my favourite players got through to the semis last night and my other favourite is playing tonight.

Morning all, it’s sunny and forecast to be a warm day.

George had his walk, we ran into the Friday morning dog walk on the way back. The ‘professional’ dog walker who lives on our estate organises it and it usually starts at the gate onto the common at 8am but it must’ve been brought forward to 7.30 today due to the warmer weather and it caught me out. I always try to avoid it as it’s mayhem and there are two particularly annoying loud barky Daschunds which belong to the organiser. I know a couple who take part in the walk and we were trying to chat but we couldn’t make ourselves hear over the barking.

Joe’s working from home today, it’s usually an admin day but he’s had to bring some callibrating work home to try and sort out as the software he uses wasn’t on his side yesterday and the item is being collected on Monday. It’s for London Underground so pretty important that it’s accurate

John’s hoping for a day in the office today, he’s been in Oxfordshire at BMW and thinks he’ll be there for a few days next week too, he’s trying to hold that off until later in the week though as he doesn’t want to miss seeing Ricky Gervais on Monday night.
July and August are always an unpredictable time of year for him, it’s when a lot of their designs are installed in factories so he can be called at anytime to oversee installation or sort out any design issues (which nine times out of ten end up being the fault of the installers).

The Tesco delivery is coming later this morning. I’ve been running the freezer down as I end up shoving odds and ends in there which rarely get used up so wanted to clear much of it out and start afresh with refilling it. I had some oven chips and three Katsu curry pies (so so SO nice) which I’d earmarked for dinner last night, just enough for the three of us and all that was left in there that would make a dinner. I’ve been proper looking forward to my pie, but guess who turned up at dinner time? Tom, so he had my dinner. I didn’t fancy cereal, didn’t fancy a sandwich or a can of soup and there was only boring frozen veg left in the freezer so I ended up with a banana and a couple of chocolate biscuits.

Tom had been for a hospital appointment. He usually has a phone appointment but this was in person, or so the letter said - it had a time and location in outpatients on it. He said he checked in and sat for ages past his appointment time so asked what was going on and when the receptionist checked he was actually on the list for a phone appointment.

Have a good day all :D

Hello all, good morning and happy Friday! :D

That made me chuckle!
Jan, enjoy the early relax at the bar and hope you have a better nights' sleep tonight. Tell Steve, if it's any consolation, that some of the roads here in the UK aren't much better than yours over there
Cruiser, as always enjoy Chorley and then your pootle afternoon
Osc, the survey sounds interesting. Enjoy your evening relaxing in front of the telly
Jo, that's frustrating and so annoying for Tom. As for the dinner, I'd have split the pies so you too could have had some - I'm selfish that way, not going to lose out for the benefit of others ;-)

Well the last of the reduced hours work days for me, it'll be back to normal as of next week. Hard to believe that this time last week I was being prepped for surgery (and given the current junior doctor strike, I'm glad things kicked off last week!). It's a glorious sunny day so Nadine will collect me later today and we'll have a BBQ at theirs for dinner.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all :D

Sunny 8-)

The usual Friday washing can wait till tomorrow. Today we're going to the harbour to see the Nao Santa María, an authentic historical replica of the legendary ship Christopher Columbus used in the discovery of America. I expect it will be very crowded as you can actually go on board for a tour. We won't, it would be a bit tricky getting on/off, but it will be quite a sight, well worth the walk down there.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Sadly, we've had up to 15 fully laden artics up and down the road for the last few months, for six days a week  The tarmac is just mush and the holes are al,most a foot deep, in places.

He picked his truck up from Mario and was heading off to Manuel, to sort out collection of the jeep and give him an earful. They waited over four hours for a tow truck yesterday which didn't turn up, and then got fed up, got taxi back

Good evening.
Thanks Ally.
We're off tomorrow for a week, up to Northumberland.
It's been a warm day today, quite humid.
The atm at Sainsbury's local is on the blink again. Honestly, if one of those crims who drag them physically out of the wall using a chain and a 4x4 came and stole this one, they'd be doing the village a favour.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.
