Good Morning Wednesday

Postby JanB » 07 May 2025, 07:13

Morning everyone

Sun and cloud so far this morning, not that warm yet and 23C later.

Off to Ourique to do the normal shopping, back for breakfast, then back out in the garden. Will do what I can, before the back hurts too much, then tackle the ironing

Treating ourselves to a midweek roast tonight.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you-re doing xx

Good morning JanB and anybody elsewho is up.

Still only 15C this morning. The sun is peeping through the clouds so it may get warmer.

Going to see a consultant this afternoon. This is after I sent a sample of my poo to check for blood. This is how bowelcancer canbe found in the
early stages. I do not have any pain or other problems and have a healthy diet.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, sun and cloud here. I’m off to bring back a skirt I bought last week, none of my tops matched it that I thought might. Also Clinique have an offer on my eye cream and night cream so I’ll take advantage of that. Miss Osc is looking for a particular book for Kellie, I’m sure I’ll get it in Easons, Kellie is a voracious reader.

We had a lovely evening at The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe - I loved it, it was so original and cleverly done, we all really enjoyed it. Miss Osc had parked across the river from the theatre so it was very pleasant walking back around 9.30 pm with light still in the sky and the city lights reflected in the River Liffey.

Morning all :D

Sunny but chilly

Hope all goes well when you see the consultant Cruiser.

We're really noticing the change in temperature, we even put the heating on later yesterday evening.

Hairdresser for me this afternoon, definitely overdue!! Ed needs the barber too. We'll pick up a few bits from Boots while we're in town.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Morning all, it’s quite bright but not as sunny as yesterday although a bit warmer.

Me and George were home by 7.30, I love an early walk.

Not much happening today, I’m waiting for an Amazon order. Nail varnish for me and puppy teething gel for George. I’m hoping Royal Mail will deliver Joe’s birthday card too, I’d ordered one from Etsy over a week ago, found the perfect one on there but the final estimated delivery date of yesterday came and went and when I contacted the seller to ask if it would be here soon as I need it for the 8th he replied and said it hadn’t been dispatched and then a cancellation email arrived. I had to then find an alternative which was sent first class by Thortful yesterday afternoon.
I’ve also got his presents to wrap. There aren’t many as he’s having money transferred, there’s just a new 1litre Sho water bottle, a Lego Ferrari and various bags of Haribo.

My cousin’s daughter emigrates to Australia today. It’ll really hit my cousin hard. I only found out the other day, from my cousin’s daughter in law, as we’ve lost touch a bit over recent years, and my Dad and my Aunty Dor (mother of my cousin) falling out hasn’t helped as Dor seems to have cut us all off now (so we don’t hear what’s going on in their family) even though we’re not involved in any argument they’ve got with each other. We’re actually waiting to see if she sends Joe a birthday card as she didn’t send one to Tom.

Hope it’s nothing to worry about Cruiser x

Osc, I took pics of the lights reflecting into the Liffey, it always looked lovely at night :D

Have a good day all :)

Afternoon everyone :)

I love a roast, Jan xx

Good luck at the appointment Cruiser xx

That sounds so pretty Osc 8-) xx

The temperature change has been noticeable here too Jen, and I've not just got back from the Caribbean ;) xx

I hope the card arrives in time Jo. I feel for your cousin, while Becky was in Oz I was worried that she might want to stay :? Xx

Hope the car gets fixed Crommers xx

I nipped into town earlier, to meet my friend J, then go on the sunbed. Walked home as I really need more exercise  Mick mowed the lawn while I was out, and I have some cleaning to do this afternoon.

Some nice news, Becky has passed her probationary period at work, and is now a full-time employee of Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. It's usually six months, but as B worked there for a month or so as a temp prior to them employing her in January, they moved it forward. She got some very nice feedback from management, they seem very pleased with her. :) B loves it there.

xx
