Good morning, it’s raining but does look to be brightening up a bit.

No plans for today apart from keeping Georgie boy entertained although he’s currently happily nosing at neighbours who seem to be packing up their car for a trip

Tom stayed over the weekend and Jade was here a fair bit too so we had a houseful. Joe’s going to Jade’s straight from work and is staying there tonight. I’m making chicken casserole for tea tonight.

I really need to do some crochet too. I started making a blanket for my Dad and decided to try and finish it for his birthday next week, it’s not easy finding a present for a 92 year old.

Forgot it was St George’s Day today, it’s also my sister’s 67th birthday (I’d remembered that  )

Have a good day all :D

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up.
Only 14C this morning buit the sun is out so it may get warmer.

Am going to a nursery to buy some plants. It is not a garden centre. They only sell plants and grow bags.
Had a good afternoon yesterday. It wasa friends 75th birthday. There were lots of people at the house of different ages. I think I was the oldest.

The bin lorry has just been to empty the green bin. This is for garden and food waste.
Got ironing to do if it is too wet to do anythingin the garden

Have a good day everybody.

Spent most of the night in the spare room, coughing and sneezing  Molly came in to keep me company

Off to Ourique. for the normal supermarket run after coffee, back for breakfast, then attack the weeds again. Not sure how long my back will last, but I can always strim.

Roast chicken for dinner. Just for a change :D

Morning all, it’s fairly dull here and there was a lot of rain last night, it started early evening and was still lashing down when we went to bed. Just doing bits and pieces today and going to bed early as I have a hospital appointment at 8.30am tomorrow  Edward is still investigating the leak we had in the bathroom the other day - it hasn’t happened since, thank goodness, even after last night’s rain. My brother just rang, he is sounding better every day, and the good news is that he has been reconciled with his son from whom he has been estranged for very many years. The son came to see him in hospital and then visited him at home last Saturday, it’s early days but thankfully the barrier seems to have been broken. Right, must get moving…..

Hot 8-)

We had a lovely meal at Shakers last night, I even treated myself to a cocktail, an Avalanche. Didn't realise it would be so large, but I survived

Back to Carlisle Beach today, it's really beautiful 8-)

Hope you all have a good day xx

Kaz and Jan, hope you’re both soon feeling better. There seems to be another cold doing the rounds, Tom was here all weekend with it so I’m anticipating the rest of us getting it.
It’s been an awful few months for coughs and colds.

Thank you Jo xx

Feeling much more with it now, this morning felt like a wrung out dish rag

Only managed one bucket of weeds, but took the wheelbarrow down twice, as Grumpy did a sterling job.

I just pootled and had a snooze
