Good morning Good Friday

Postby Ally » 18 Apr 2025, 04:53

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 24°. 8-)

I know the Easter Bunny has something for me as Conor let slip Don spent a few chocolatey quid in Tesco whilst he himself was buying goodies for Lucia.

Lots more parades all day and into evening so a table has been booked at Gambrinus for Friday beers and tapas.

Have a great day.

Hello and good morning Ally and everyone

Enjoy the Easter parades Ally, and definitely enjoy that chocolate when you get your mitts on it. And as always - enjoy Gambrinus ;)
I'm going to enjoy the next four days at home LOL, what bliss not having to get up at 5.30am (I'll update separately about the job). Heading over to Wisley Garden Centre (the shop at RHS Wisley) with a friend first thing this morning when they open. I'm hoping they have some more unusual vegetable plants, specifically tomato and chilli's that the other garden centres have. Then pootling for the rest of the day.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Another grey and showery day  Slightly warmer at 21C.

It's getting warmer at night too, as Molly didn't come in until 4.30

Should be warming up from Tuesday and also getting drier - at last.

Enjoy your day's off Ria xx

Cleaning for me this morning and depending on the weather, I'll feed all the plants. That's quite a bit of walking

I bought Grumpy a couple of Easter bunnies. One has already been eaten  so I've hidden the other  None for me sadly, as chocolate is one of the things that Gladys doesn't like.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Everybody,

It was only 14C when I got up. There are ;ots of grey clouds but the sun is trying to come out.
Ria, that is an early start. I am just turning over for another hour in bed.

Another day just pootling. Can aways find something to do.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s like November here, alternating between light and heavy rain. I’m off to my mobility class this morning then back to maybe clean the bathrooms and do some ironing. No golf for Edward - he did mention cleaning the upstairs windows, I hope he does it. Right, just need to make the bed and tidy around before I go out.

Morning all, it’s grey but dry.

The Tesco order is due shortly and I’m going to have a walk into town after that seeing as John’s home to puppysit

What a night at Old Trafford last night, we’ve done a lot of moaning this season but last night was why we keep doing this. Nothing beats the feeling of a last minute winner

Have a good day all :D

Good afternoon.
A grey start but it's brightening now.
We have done the shopping run.
What is it about the shops closing for one day? It brings hordes of people out of the woodwork to descend on Sainsburys.
You would think that people were laying in supplies for a siege rather than just having the shops close on Sunday.
A very exciting match for you Jo!
It was 2-3 when I went to the kitchen to make a cup of tea and when I came back it was 3-4!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Hot 8-)

The shops shut today and Sunday for Easter here. Not the restaurants and shacks though, big business at this time of year for them.

We had a lovely lazy day on the beach and the sea was even warmer yesterday. Planning more of the same today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Enjoy your choccie, Ally ;) xx

How lovely to have Wisley within range Ria, the choice there must be amazing 8-) xx

That's a shame about Gladys and chocolate, Jan :( I need to think about giving it up myself as my cholesterol is up - if I want to avoid statins :cute: xx

Have a good day pootling Cruiser xx

Not great weather here either, Osc  Typical Bank Holiday!.xx

Glad you enjoyed the footie, Jo! Have I mentioned to you that my friend Emma's daughter's partner is Joe Thomlinson, who presents Saturday Social on Sky Sports? He meets a lot of players, mostly they're nice guys, he says! xx

You're dead right about the shops, Crommers! I nipped into Tesco for a paper - it was heaving!!

Bliss, Jen! :D xx

Grey weather here  Gotta love a BH weekend  SW meeting first thing, then Mick picked me up from Em's and we went to see D. She was having a sort out of old photos - I love looking at old photos :) It's very quiet here without B and Daisy.

Love to all xxx
