Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 12 Apr 2025, 06:15

Good morning.

David's picking Don and Conor up at 7.30 to take them to the airport for their 9.30 flight.

Inma is bringing Jacob over who is staying with me for the weekend :P then she's driving on to Jaen to see her parents.
She'll pick Jacob back up Monday evening before Don gets home at midnight. :D
I'll be well looked after.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Mixed bag of sun and showers for today.

Not sure what we'll be doing, apart from the ironing   Might try and get outside to get up some weeds, might just relax and have a lazy day.

Might even pop down to the bar later :D Depends if it's raining or not.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally, JanB and anyody else who is up.

It was 15C when I got up. The sun is shining so it should get warm. But we may have some rain later.

I have ben to tesco for petrol and for some shopping which I can't get at Lidl. Will now go out in the garden. Still some weeding to do.

If it rains, I have some ironing to do.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all, it’s sun and cloud here and actually warm, but rain is forecast for later. I have washing on the line but will make sure to take it in early. We thoroughly enjoyed our Blackpool trip, Thursday night in the ballroom was brilliant, and all travel went well. Yesterday was quite a long day as our flight wasn’t leaving Manchester until 7.30pm. However, unusually from experience of our many trips there over the years, the weather was nice so we pottered around, had a look in TK Maxx and I looked in Bon Marche. Then we decided to get an earlier train to Manchester Airport, which worked out well because the train was delayed so we arrived at very near the time we had already planned. The place was bedlam, but we managed to get a table in an Italian restaurant and had a leisurely meal, then found two seats where Edward watched golf on his phone and I read my book. Our flight was on time and we got home just before 9.30pm. Tired today, but now I’ve to get organised for our two-nighter dance break in Dundalk, going on Monday. At least it’s only a less than 90 minute drive away. I’m just about to check in for our cruise which starts on 26th May so not too far away - what with Easter and another overnighter in early May, it will be here before we know it.

Cruiser, I thought of you yesterday when our train stopped at Chorley and I was telling Edward how you go to the market there.

Afternoon all, it’s a beautiful day!

I had a haircut booked this morning and also needed to drop off Ruth’s birthday presents so killed two birds with one stone there and took Grace’s Easter egg too. Joe puppy sat for us while we popped out. He’s now on the train into Birmingham to meet his boss for lunch. Jade’s picking him up afterwards and they’re back here for dinner. Tom’s coming over too so I need to run down to little Tesco shortly to get something to pad out dinner as hes a big eater and he’s only just called to let me know. I’m doing roast chicken and salad so I think I’ll get some jacket potatoes.

George is doing so well, he’s loving the garden and has found his bark this morning, which took us by surprise, when he saw a pigeon land on the lawn.

Have a good day all :D

Afternoon everyone :)

It's been a beautiful day here again! I still have the Benidorm weather on my app, as well as ours, and was very amused to see that it was exactly the same temperature - 19°C - in both.locations

Up to Knead this morning for breakfast with Em and Dave :) It was so beautiful up there today that we lingered until lunchtime ;) Round to D's after that, then home. We've had a very late lunch/early dinner, and I'm about to prep a brisket for an overnight in the slow cooker for tomorrow.

Love to all xxxx
