The vet was thrilled with Minnie

All side effect symptoms are diminishing, her gums are as pink as they can get, heart almost back to normal, everything wonderful

Not even a blood test, no point, she said

Now need to gradually get her back to normal amounts of food, and no more need for extra protein

And exercise as guided by her, not letting her do too much too soon - she may be bouncy and eager, but is still very weak and falls if she tries to turn to quickly, or starts to run.
We discussed the IMHA and she said she sees probably 2-3 cases a year, but she only works 2-3 days a week. And virtually all of them cocker spaniels. I didn't ask how many survived but when I'd thanked her about a hundred times, she did say Minnie had had extremely good nursing as well
